Here is where you will find a range of documents for download that will give you background information on our proposal to build a new centre for eye care, research and education. Documents in this section include those relating to the public planning consultation, which was held from July to September 2020, and the NHS service change consultation which was held between 24 May and 16 September 2019.

2020 Public planning consultation documents

Here you will find our full public planning consultation brochure and newsletters. This consultation sought views on the preliminary design of the new centre, and fed into our planning application submission to Camden Council.

As part of our planning application, we produced a number of documents about our design. These are submitted and publicly available on Camden’s planning portal website.

2019 - 2020 Decision making business case

In order for the proposal to relocate Moorfield’s City Road services to proceed, a decision of the 14 lead Clinical Commissioning Groups (Committees in Common) is required to endorse that they have received sufficient assurance in relation to the decision making business case which is influenced by the public consultation which ran from 24 May until 16 September 2019.

The committees in common is made up of representatives of 14 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) across London and Hertfordshire which plan and buy the greater proportion of Moorfields services for their residents. 

This section will also include a series of responses to the business case.

Below you will find the documents for discussion at the committees in common meeting on Wednesday 12 February 2020 from 5.30 – 7.30 pm.

2019 Pre-consultation business case

Before public consultation, a pre-consultation business case (PCBC) must be approved by NHS England Specialised Commissioning and a committees in common for the clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) who plan and buy the services of Moorfields Eye Hospital.

The PCBC, which is available for download below (250 pages), was published by Camden CCG on 15 April 2019 and was considered and approved by the CCG committees in common at a meeting in public on 24 April 2019.

The committees in common is made up of representatives of 14 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) across London and Hertfordshire which plan and buy the greater proportion of Moorfields services for their residents.
